Christ Centered Traditional Services
We believe the Bible to be the verbally inspired, infallible Word of God and is absolutely trustworthy in matters of faith and conduct.
2 Tim 3:15-17; Pet 1:24-25; John 20:31; 2 Pet 1:20-21; Heb 4:12
We believe there is one God eternally existent in three persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His vicarious death as the substitutionary sacrifice for the believer's sins, His bodily resurrection from the dead, His ascension into heaven, His priestly intercession on behalf of His Body the True Church, of which He is the Head.
JN 1:1-2, 14, 2:24-25, 14:9; Mt 1:23; Heb 4:14-15; Rom 3:23-26;
1 Cor 15:1-4; CoI 2:9; Acts 1:11; Titus 2:13
We believe in the Holy Spirit's ministry in regeneration, sanctification and preservation of the believer. We believe that the Holy Spirit distributes spiritual gifts to believers as He wills for the common good. No gift signifies His baptism or filling, nor does any gift provide authoritative revelation beyond what has been revealed in the Holy Scriptures. He convicts, comforts, teaches, and indwells the Christian in order that he/she may lead a life pleasing to God.
1 Cor 6:19-20, 12:13, 27; Eph 1:13-14, 3:14-19, 4:30, 5:18, 22-23; 2 Tim 1:12;
Gal 3:2; Rom 8:9-11; 1 Cor 3:16, 12:11; 2 Cor 1:21-22; 2 Thes 2:1-12
We believe that salvation is by God's grace through faith and not by good works, that through repentance of sin and personal faith in Christ as Savior, a person is born again into a relationship with God, is indwelt, baptized, and sealed by the Holy Spirit into Christ's spiritual body the Church and is assured of going to heaven.
Acts 3:19, 4:12; Jn 1:12, 3:16, 14:1-3, 6; Eph 2:8-9; Titus 3:5-6; Col 1:14;
We believe that the Christian will one day be resurrected to reign with Christ on earth and in Heaven and that the non-Christian will suffer punishment and eternal separation from God in the Lake of Fire.
1 Cor 3:11-15, 15:20-28, 42-57; 2 Cor 5:10; Rom 14:10; Rev 20:11-15
We believe in the pre-tribulation rapture of the Body of Christ, the Church. We believe in the pre-millennial second coming of Jesus Christ to the earth with His saints to set up His millennial kingdom. During the millennium Satan will be bound and the judgment of the nations will take place. At the end of the millennium, Satan will be released for a short season and will lead one final revolt against God, at which time he will be defeated and cast into the lake of fire forever. The Great White Throne Judgment for unbelievers follows. The heavens and earth will then be purged with fire and the new heaven, and the new earth, and the New Jerusalem will be established where believers will dwell forever. 1 Thes 4:16-17, 1:10; 1 Cor 15:51-52;
Eph 1:22-23, 5:23; 1 Thes 5:9; Rev 19:11-16, 20:2-4; Mt 25:41-46;
Christian Living
We believe it is the Christian's responsibility to follow Biblical principles in worship, church ministry, and in daily living.
Heb 10:24-25; Eph 4:4; CoI 3:14-16; Ps 133:1
Stewardship
We believe in the responsibility of the members of this church to support the church spiritually, physically, and financially.
1 Pet 4:10-11; 1 Thes 5:11; Gal 5:13; Acts 2:44-47; Heb 10:24-25; Jn 13:34-35; Mal 3:10; Lk 6:38
Separation of Church and State
We believe that each local church is self-governing in function and must be free from interference by any ecclesiastical or political authority. Lk 20:25; Rom 13:1-7; Acts 4:20, 5:29
Speaking in Tongues
We believe that the present day speaking in tongues is not Scriptural in practice or for this time. Therefore this church does not recognize or observe the teaching or speaking in tongues. Heb 2:3-4; Acts 2:8;
1 Cor 14:22, 12:30-31, 14:1-40, 13:8, 14:19, 13:11
Baptism by Immersion: We believe the believer should follow the Lord in water baptism in obedience to the Word of God.
Mt 28:19; Act 2:38, 9:18; Rom 6:3
Observance of the Lord's Supper: We believe that the Church should observe communion as a commemoration of the Lord's death until He comes again. The bread is symbolic of His broken body on the cross and the cup of grape juice is symbolic of Christ's shed blood on the cross. His true physical broken body and shed blood is the means that provides for the forgiveness of sin. Mt 26:26-29; Mk 14:22-25;
